A few weekends ago I finally made the trip down to Doughnut Plant. I learned about this wonderful place on Travel Channel's Doughnut Paradise.
What first caught my attention about this little shop, which is definitely one of NYC's many hidden secrets, was their unique doughnuts.Their doughnuts are created fresh daily at their location and those with fillings are squared.
The reason they are squared is so you can have a taste of doughnut and filling with every bite! Genius I tell you!
Their doughnuts are also made with high quality all natural ingredients and have no trans fats, no preservatives, no artificial flavorings, and no eggs. Their glazes are also made with seasonal fresh fruit and fresh roasted nuts! You can't get much better quality then that!If you do plan on swinging by to give it a try, make sure to go with time. There is usually a line that can last at the very least 10-15 minutes, but it is while worth it. TRUST me!! Definitely give this place an A+!!!
