Happy Thanksgiving!

While this post is a little late; I had meant to post it earlier this week. With all the craziness at work, and home, preparing for the madness of the holiday, it happened to slip my mind.

Anywho, first and foremost, I hope everybody had a safe and wonderful thanksgiving with their loved ones. Hopefully you were all able to stuff your faces and spend some good ole quality time with them. I know I spent mine very relaxed, drinking wine and eating all the wonderful food I was blessed to have with my family.

Now, the reason I decided to post about thanksgiving is simple. I wanted to express my views on this holiday. Much like most of the other holidays, I feel that it's a glorified day to bring people together and have a reason to celebrate. Honestly, we should not have to wait for a particular day during the year in order to be thankful for all that we do or don't have. We should not need a particular day to be thankful period. At least in my opinion we don't. I feel we should be able to express our thankfulness each and every day of the year. How special is it to turn around and thank someone for all they have done on a random day, as opposed to a 'holiday'. It's interesting to me how people you haven't spoken to in ages, suddenly decide to send you a text, telling you how thankful they are to have you in their lives. Yet, I haven't heard from you since last thanksgiving...um...if you truly are thankful, why do I only hear from you on this date? How can you be thankful for me 'being' in your life when you only touch basis with me on one day??

These are the things I have issues with. The things I don't agree with and hate about these 'holidays' that suddenly make everybody all happy and sentimental. No thanks. I rather spend the day with my "true" family (whatever that means) and just having a good time. Remembering the old days and talking about the stories of yesterday.

What about you out there? Yes you. Tell me what you think in the comments section. Tell me your thoughts, feelings, opinions, and views on this 'holiday' which everybody becomes miraculously 'thankful' for everything in their live. I don't buy it, but what about you?

Back to Basics

What's going on world? I hope everybody is doing great; I'm doing alright myself. A few personal dramas here and there, but what's new? We all go through them and we all keep on living, so onward we go!

Here's the new layout, of the new blog, for the new me. I did not delete the old post because there is history there, but I wanted to start new.

New layout. New post. New beginning.

I know I've been M.I.A for a while, but now I'm back and hope you all come around to read and check out the blog!
