WaterFire

After posting about WaterFire a few weeks ago; we decided to go back. These are some more pictures for you to enjoy. Make sure to check out their website WaterFire. It's a beautiful and awesome experience!

But our fun didn't stop there. Oh no, no, no. Since we were passing by Connecticut on the way back to New York City; we figured why not stop at Ted's? That's right, World Famous Ted's Restaurant, a great restaurant in Meriden, CT where all of their burgers are steamed! I know, I know, it sounds weird and your probably thinking it's not going to taste good, but your sooooo wrong. The burgers are FULL of flavor and you won't regret trying it. Here are some pictures just so you can imagine what the burgers are like, enjoy.

How good does that look? Makes you want to run out and get one yourself, right? I know, they are truly worth the drive up. Oh man...think I'm have to plan another road trip.

For those of you who want to check it out for yourself, here's the address;
1044 Broad St
Meriden, CT 06450
(203) 237-6660

Make sure to let us know your experience if you go and check it out!

Until next time,

Eagle's Deli

So, continuing last week's post; on our trip to Providence, we spent more time in Boston then in Providence. One of my favorite stops in Boston was lunch @ Eagle's Deli. After seeing it on Travel Channel's Man vs. Food, I could not wait to give it a try. They are known for their huge burgers and even crazier Challenge burger. Their Challenge burger consist of 5lbs of beef, 20 slices of cheese, 20 slices of bacon and to top it all off, 5lbs of fries! Can you believe that!? According to their website, they are voted the 2nd best place to pig out in the world; now you know why!

There was no way I was going to tackle that Challenge burger right away; so I went with something more to my liking. Since it was my first time there, I figured I would warm myself up and MAYBE one day I'll go back to take on the challenge (not likely).

I started with the Godzilla Burger which came with 1lb of beef, 4 slices of cheese and 1lb of fries. I also added bacon to it, just for some extra flavor. Although I must say, without the bacon, there was PLENTY of flavor. I'd go as far as saying this was one of, if not the best, burgers I have ever had! Check out the pictures of my meal:Doesn't that look GREAT! Oh man, I'm getting hungry just writing this post...

The last bite...it was finally done.

I was STUFFED. This was one for the books; Eagle's Deli = HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Rhode Island Road Trip

This has been the year for road trips! We have gone on three so far and that's not counting the numerous day trips to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and/or Long Island. We went to Connecticut, then Washington D.C. (which the last post was about) and Rhode Island.

They were all fun; but Rhode Island was full of adventure. We went to an aquarium, then to Eagles Deli and lastly we ended up driving around looking for something to do which is when we came across a fair. It's interesting how we slept in Rhode Island, but everything we did was in Boston. Expect for one night when we went to downtown Rhode Island and saw their famous WaterFire exhibit.

The New England Aquarium was fun. A lot of cool Penguins & Seals and a huge tank in the middle which went all the way up to the top of the building. Once at the top of the tank, you can look down and see all the animals swimming around. It was a very interesting sight/experience indeed. Look at the cool Seal we met below;

After the aquarium we went back to the house for an early dinner. We wanted to make it out to Providence's famous WaterFire event. Well, actually WaterFire is the award-winning sculpture by Barnaby Evans located on the three rivers of downtown Providence, RI. The masterpiece consist of one hundred sparkling bonfires and the fragrant scent of aromatic wood smoke is unforgettable. Those who want to get closer to the flames can by taking a ride down the river on different types of vessels which allow people a closer experience to the fire. All the while, one listens to music from around the world all throughout the river...truly a magical experience! Although we didn't get on one of the boats, because the line was ridiculous and we had a previous engagement to fulfill, here is a picture we took so you can understand the beauty of the experience.

The last day we decided to just drive around and see what we came across. Luck was on our side because we found a fair for the kids, which they enjoyed very much, and we came across this very interesting straw building/house looking thing. Well, instead of me trying to explain it, take a look at the picture we took. Enjoy!

I'll update you guys next on our trip to Eagles Deli in Boston; it deserves its own post! Stay tuned!

Until next time,

Super Late

Hey people of the world!

I've been away for a while due to school, but now I'm back and better then ever!

Just to give you a taste of what's to come; below are two pictures of my spring break trip. Originally I was supposed to head up to Boston and hang out with my cousin since it was my 21st Birthday, but I had to care for my younger brother so I decided against that. Instead I took a mini road trip with my girlfriend and my little brother. We decided to go to Washington, D.C.

This was our first trip to D.C.; although we had passed it on our road trip last summer, we didn't stop in. So we decided to head down and see what all the hype was about. Personally, I had fun and it was cool, BUT, I HATED the fact that we were searched anywhere we entered. I mean, we went to a food court and had to go through security first...really?! For a food court??

Other then that; the Smithsonian museums were cool and I wanted to share one of the pictures from there. I don't know if you guys remember, but I had posted about the giant squid which was caught in the fisherman's net sometime last year. Well, in the museum, they had the body of said squid! Check it out below!

Crazy isn't it?! It was huge...the box was longer then I am. The deep-sea is truly amazing. Think about all those things which are swimming around down there that we don't know about. Wow. I wish I could know all of it. Then again, don't we all.

Lastly, we couldn't leave D.C. without visiting Abe. Here's a nice picture.

Until next time,

Russo
