OK, so the other day at work I had this lady step up to my window. Of course I didn't call her over, she just felt the need to walk up to me. Anyways, one of the most annoying things I face at work must be taking in rolled coins. Not only is it a hassle for me, since I have to then sell the coins to the coin vault.
It has to be annoying for those customers who actually sit there and roll up the coins themselves. I mean, it's a tedious thing to do. Especially in this day and age, with all the technology we have. There are plenty of places which can take in loose change and turn it into cash. Most supermarkets have machines now where you can count your change. Most notably, Commerce Bank has a "Penny Arcade" which counts it for you. They change your loose change into cash for FREE. No strings attached! No need to have an account or anything. I, myself have done it several times. Their machine even allows you to 'guess' the total amount of coins which you have. Depending on how close your estimate is, you get to win a prize. I did this once and received a Commerce Bank piggy bank, which was actually in the shape of a C. It was a cute little prize, which I then gave to my little brother. I say that to say this, Do yourselves a favor and take your change to the Penny Arcade. Why bother wasting your time rolling up all those coins, when you could just dump them, effortlessly into a machine who will count it for you? I for one feel this is the best way to go about things. Next time you have a bunch of coins to change, do your banker a favor, take it to Commerce.
